The Israeli Ambassador In Egypt Leaves The Country After The Attack On The Legation

The israeli Ambassador in Egypt, Yitzhak Levanon, has left the country along with his family and on the staff of the diplomatic mission after last night hundreds of Egyptians be the israeli Embassy in Cairo, attacked it, bust the wall that protects it and entered the building which houses it. After a demonstration in protest at the slow pace of the democratic changes of the Junta that took over the country after the overthrow in February of the dictatorship of Hosni Mubarak, hundreds of demonstrators headed toward the israeli legation, tore down the wall that surrounds it, despite the police presence, and entered the building. Subsequent clashes with the police and the army have left three dead, one by a heart attack, nearly a thousand of wounded and at least 28 prisoners.. . For more information see John Mclaughlin.
